Focus of general dermatology |
All surgical procedures on the skin at the DERMATOLOGIKUM HAMBURG are performed by an experienced team of doctors in accordance with the latest expertise in operative dermatology. The treatment is performed in accordance with the guidelines of the respective associations (DGDC: Deutsche Gesellschaft für Dermatochirurgie [German Association of dermatological surgery] and ADO: Arbeitskreis Dermatologische Onkologie [Working Committee for Dermatological Oncology]).
In addition to painless procedures under local anaesthetic, bigger procedures are performed under "half-sleep" (i. e. analgesic sedation) or under general anaesthetic. Our day clinic features all the options of outpatient monitoring for post-operative care. Inpatient aftercare is also available upon arrangement. The treatment is designed to return patients to their professional and private activities as quickly as possible.
Examples of operations:
• Removal of skin tumours (melanoma, basalioma, spinalioma, moles/nevus, adipomas/lipomas, cysts, etc.) • reconstructive procedures (pedicle flaps, skin grafts, etc.) • circumcisions •scar correction (e. g. of acne scars) • Removal of perspiratory glands (curettage) in cases of excessive underarm perspiration (hyperhidrosis)
